Project: Replace QSC E12 Voice Coil

A few QSC E12 tweeters were somehow blown out. I’ve replaced them using a QSC voice coil replacement kit. Replacing them is pretty easy. I guess the hardest part is to remove the cover and the horn while the unit was still attached to the ceiling. ;)

After removing the cover from the unit i’ve removed the horn.
Then removed the four screws holding the plastic cover in place.
This one is most certainly blown since it shows max resistance.
Replaced the old coil with the one from the replacement kit.
E12 voice coil replacement kit.
I’ve measured the new voice coil. Resistence should be somewhere around 8 Ohm.
